The Silambarasan episode

Silambarasan episode was little more interesting than what I expected. The singing from Sowmya when pushed by the judges was impressive. She delivered much more than what the judges were expecting. The other singers were treating this very lightly and made a big joke of the song they were given. Swathi was terrible -- she could have just sung the original song as-is and got through but she tried some unrelated alaap and increased tempo and made a mess of the song.

Wonder why Simbu was there only for the girls round and did not judge the boys round.
Vijay Krishnan was so calm -- I feel this guy does not practice and just delivers what is in his mind. The other participants probably hate him! Remember what Priyadarshini was saying about Vijay in the duet round?. When Shenaaz and Maya voted him out they had uncharitable words for him. That guy was in total control of the song. The pauses and additions he made to Ilamai Idho Idho was out of this world. He totally understood what was expected and delivered really well.

Swathi and Nitin Raj were utterly dissappointing for me. Nitin in spite of having multiple chances to prove himself did not utilize the chances well. The judges were trying hard to retain him for the next round but his singing was just plain and did not care for the rules of the round! It was sad to see him go; but he is not a selfless singer and his own negative thinking was his downfall. He always seemed to be someone who was not happy with others doing fell and that reflected in his singing today.

Aruna on the other hand made use of her second chance very well -- recalled even when she was voted out by her team. She had a positive attitude and she sang really well.

It was sad to see Kilgin go but he did not do anything special to merit a recall even.

Lets see what the next round with Tippu, Harini, Pop Shalini and Sriram has in store for us.

  1. The first comments in greek blogs are called "seftes"(σεφτές), a Turkish word meaning the first sale of the day (a sign of good luck in our culture) or love (not in the sense “I love everybody”, but a man and a woman love each other and they do staff… The greek word for the latter is Erotas or Eros in ancient greek, who was a deity –now we have other gods-in the past, which you probably know because this word is quite common in the porn industry)

However, experienced blogers, instead of using the word seftes, they prefer the Turkish term “Keftes”, which sounds almost like seftes, however it means something entirely different: meatball

    So I made a meatball!

Good luck in everything you do blogwisely!
